Paint Bench: 28mm AT-43 and Terminator Armies Re-basing Project Done

I decided to keep these miniatures in my collection, and that being said I decided to flock the tops of the bases to make them look better. These are my AT-43 and Terminator minis, they look way much better now.

And this concludes my re-basing project...thank goodness, I AM BURNED OUT. 5000 plus minis in 2 weeks.

AT-43 Minis
140 plus foot and about 25 sets of various armor. I use my 40k Valkyries with these minis.

Terminators from Copplestone Castings
I have about 32 Terminators. I have some other stuff such as flying gunships but they have no bases.

Paint Bench: 28mm Warhammer Fantasy Bretonnia Re-basing Project

I am finally on the last big army to re-paint the bases. And a rather large batch at that. I lost track of how many, but I think it is like 600 foot and  140 cavalry.

First Wave

2nd wave and finished! Spent all night on them.

Paint Bench: 28mm Spartan Re-basing Project Done

Starting to re-base my Spartans...getting closer to the end. I have my Mycenaean / Trojan army and then my massive Bretonnia army. After playing my Gondolin game, I plan on doing a Helms Deep. But after that I plan on doing a large Thermopylae Battle. Sometimes I wish I only had only ancients but I like Scifi as well, and I have to bounce back and forth. After I am done with this project..and I going to play at least 2 years before I pick up the brush again. (and least massive armies)

Spartans from Crocodile Games. I will be buying their new Trojans coming out soon.

Paint Bench: 40mm Planet Of The Apes Re-basing Project Done

Finally going ape! Moving on to my POTA collection. Started out with the Cavalry.

I used Graven Images apes with Irregular Miniatures 42mm horses from their ECW line or something. The Graven Images horses were way too small. I cut mostly infantry figures up and put them on horseback.

If you can see, there are a lot of paint horses. I was raised on a paint horse ranch so, I had to have them riding paint horses, sorta like Indians.

Next up move cavalry and a lot of infantry.

 And Finished!! Moving on...

These guys are a bit dusty, I need a can of air to clean everyone off. They need to see some action soon.

Paint Bench: 28mm Romans Re-basing Project Done

Now I am about reaching the 75% level of finishing my re-basing project. Keep in mind not every miniature is being rebased. That would be a nightmare. Luckily I based my desert type countries, Assyria, etc..very good. I am switching out storage / movement trays so I can sell my Game Workshop movement trays. I think I will have over 100 plus. That is about $250 in movement trays. That is insane, and that is less than half of them, the rest are still on the shelf with figures. They store the figures well however, easy to take on and off the shelf. Most all of my figures are based on 20mm x 20mm stands, a few 25mm stands.

Most or all of my Romans are Black Tree Design. Some are using Vendel shields that came with some of the figures I bought from them, I forgot what. They all have North Star wire spears. I think there is about 550 foot and 62 cavalry. I plan on one day buying some Aventine Romans, a bunch of them.

You notice the Ape army I have from Planet of the Apes are arriving for rebasing as well. I think they think they will be forgotten. I had to steal a lot of their movement trays for the Romans. I made a large batch of homemade movement trays long ago and I am now using them again. I do not plan on using them on the table, just for storage purposes. I do not like the look of the movement tray in a game any longer.

250 more Romans to go and I am going Ape.

And Finished!!!!
